Vanessa Williams, personal trainer

My passion for fitness came at an early age as my dad was my biggest influencer. From a young age, he worked out almost twice a day 5 – 6 days a week in the gym. As his first born, you can see how easily this transferred over to me. I began my career as an athletic trainer specializing in football, baseball, basketball, and soccer in my early 20’s. It was invigorating having to think on your feet, quickly diagnose an injury, and rehab during games as well as after. The community of athletes, parents and the school felt like one big and crazy family – definitely unmatched.. After 7+ years as an Athletic Trainer and school budget cuts, I became a Physical Therapy aide as well as a personal trainer. Since a lot of my Athletic Training skills were transferable and the reward of staying with a client from beginning to end, going through the journey with them – I quickly became immersed into the fitness industry. With a certification from NASM specializing in Corrective/Rehab exercises, Kettlebell, TRX, Endless Rope/Rope Climbing, and BodyBuilding. I also competed in a Bikini BodyBuilding Competition placing top 5 which was a one of a kind experience. Helping you find a fitness lifestyle that works for you is my goal – by learning the foundations with good technique, you can apply it anywhere in life!

Matthew Gabayan,
PERSONAL TRAINER

Matt is a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology – the study of human movement – from CSU Monterey Bay. With a strong foundation in exercise science and a lifelong passion for fitness, Matt brings both knowledge and experience to his training approach. Before becoming a personal trainer, Matt spent seven years working as a chef in restaurants. That experience taught him how to be creative, how to work under pressure, and the importance of nutrition in order to obtain health and fitness goals. Matt has always lived an active lifestyle. He grew up competing in Tae Kwon Do, martial arts, and played soccer for six years. In high school, Matt ran cross country, and was also on his school’s badminton team. In College he was on the men’s club volleyball team.  In 2020, Matt’s life took an unexpected turn when he was injured in a car accident that left him with a compression fracture in his spine. During his recovery, he developed a deeper understanding of the importance of mobility and the ability to move well – not just in the gym, but in everyday life. That experience shaped his entire approach to training, shifting his focus toward helping people build strength, resilience, and the physical freedom to do what they love for as long as possible. When he’s not training, Matt enjoys going to concerts and music festivals, traveling and staying active. His mission is to empower others to move better, feel stronger, and live long fulfilling lives – no matter where they’re starting from.

Travis Splettstoesser, personal trainer

With over 9 years of nationally accredited experience in personal training, I am certified by the National College of Exercise Professionals (NCEP) and have pursued continuing education in TRX, ViPR, StrongFirst Kettlebell, StretchLab Mobility, Hypervolt therapy, and pre/postnatal fitness. My background also includes hands-on work as a physical therapy assistant, which has shaped my corrective, ground-up approach to posture and movement. I’m passionate about helping clients move and feel better in their everyday lives—safely and effectively working toward their fitness goals. Growing up playing football, soccer, baseball, track (100m), cross-country, and wrestling, health and fitness have always played a major role in my life. These experiences instilled in me the importance of recovery, balance, and building sustainable habits both inside and outside the gym. Outside of training, I’m an artist who enjoys working in charcoal and black-and-white realism. I have a deep love for music and a strong connection to the outdoors—anything that gets me moving or inspires creativity.
